The Indian Library Congress is scheduled to be held at Delhi on 22 – 23 February 2025. The Congress aims at a scholarly assessment of the local and global experiences in the functioning of libraries. The focus is on the formulation of an active strategy to assess the prospects and address the challenges for public libraries in India.
Papers are invited in the following themes.

- History and evolution of libraries
Changes concepts of the library in history- Regional, national and international experiences of libraries in community building; functional integration of public libraries and libraries in academic institutions. - The Politics of Public library
Critical appraisals of the Indian experience – Evolution, growth and challenges- Public policy and allocation of resources by the State and Union governments- need for a people’s alternative- Attempts of Centralisation, federalism and library policies. - Library and the Society
